Susan Roberts Frew is a former International VP with AT&T Wireless, a Certified Business Coach, Instructor for the SBA’s national Emerging Leaders program and radio host of “Coaching is Not Just for Sports” on ESPN radio in Denver. When she met and married William Frew in 2012, he was a one man Plumbing-Heating and Solar Thermal Expert. They merged their collective talents and Sunshine Plumbing Heating Air was born. In the years to follow, Susan and William grew their culturally dynamic company to make the INC500 list and INC best work places. In 2018, the Frews discovered that they had made a bad hire. Although she made it past all of their background checks, this key employee was able to mismanage and re-direct funds to put the Frew's inches away from bankruptcy. Susan is sharing their story to help as may entrepreneurs as possible escape this scenario in their own businesses.
Matthew Gutzwiller is a certified fraud examiner who leads the firm’s forensic accounting and litigation support practice area. He is experienced in performing calculations of economic damages and lost profits, analyzing contractual compliance with respect to accounting matters, investigating employee embezzlement and fraud. Matt leads the firm’s initiative to utilize data extraction software to mine data in support of litigation cases and to streamline audit procedures. He has conducted cases that include forensic audits of email, web browsers, and databases, as well as proactive searches for indicators of fraud. Matt frequently speaks to professional groups on the topic of fraud prevention and detection.
Lee Geiger is a partner at the Graydon law firm in Cincinnati where he is the chair of Graydon’s Labor & Employment Team. He is a legal nerd who enjoys helping companies of all sizes solve HR problems. No issue is too big or small. Lee provides practical advice to address chronic FMLA issues, hiring, firing, harassment and discipline problems, as well as dealing with the occasional employee who falls asleep in the restroom! Lee also represents companies in state and federal courts and alphabet agencies like the EEOC, OCRC, DOL, NLRB, OCR and OSHA.
